Instructions.
We use PVA glue applied with an old paint brush. The strips are longer than the roof , once the glue is dry the excess can be trimmed off with a sharp knife. Its best to do this by placing the roof face down on a suitable cutting surface and cutting from the back using the edge of the roof as a guide.
Stick the first shingle strip lined up along the bottom edge of the roof.
We then mark the roof off at 5mm intervals from the top of the first shingle strip to the top of the roof.
Apply glue and shingle strips working from the bottom to the top of the roof overlaping the strips over the previous ones. Make sure the individual shingles are off set left to right for a realistic look.
Once all the shingle strips have been attached , carefully fold the ridge strip and glue it over the apex of the roof covering the edges of the shingle strip.
